Michelle Lorge has 17 years of nursing experience in various health care settings. She has specialized in diabetes management and obesity since 2000. Her initial introduction began as a visiting nurse at Visiting Nurse Service of New York, whereby the majority of her patients had diabetes. In addition to educating her patients, she also has a passion for teaching nursing students. She worked as an adjunct clinical instructor in the under-graduate nursing program at NYU. She received the award of “Nurse Leader” by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2005. She strongly believes in the mind/body connection when teaching her patients about healthy lifestyles. As a certified yoga instructor, she incorporates her skills by treating her patients using a holistic approach.
